Model details

A characterful Herrenhaus for a model railway scene: a long dormered roof, detailed window surrounds, a columned entrance and a small end annex. Lift-off roof and facade assemblies keep the separate floors accessible for optional lighting.

Digital files only. No printed model is supplied.

Included in version 0.7

  • Separate N 1:160, H0 1:87 and 0 1:45 manufacturing profiles.
  • Main house, entrance, end annex, foundations and interior inserts.
  • Optional gutters and downpipes; N retrofit alternatives for older prints.
  • Individual STL files and geometry-only 3MF plate arrangements for a 256 mm bed.
  • An illustrated English PDF assembly guide for each scale, numbered component views and filename/quantity inventory.

Dimensions

Scale Assembled size (mm) Core + optional rainwater parts
N · 1:160 221.85 × 104.25 × 87.8 13 + 10
H0 · 1:87 409.59 × 188.84 × 161.77 52 + 17
0 · 1:45 787.05 × 364.31 × 312.48 158 + 21

Bounding dimensions include the entrance, end annex and optional rainwater in their supplied assembly positions. This is an interpreted reconstruction from photographs and estimated dimensions, not a surveyed historical replica. Neighbouring factories, the half-timbered house and scenery are not included.

Printing and assembly

Designed around FDM printing and a Bambu A1-size 256 × 256 mm bed. A 0.2 mm nozzle with PLA is the fine-detail starting recommendation. Use a 0.20 mm first layer and a 0.00 mm brim gap when a brim is used. Inspect roofs, canopy, windows and small details in your slicer and add supports where necessary. The largest individual XY extent is below 220 mm in each profile.

H0 and 0 have split walls, roofs, bases and floors. Assembly requires cleaning, dry fitting and gluing. Paint, clear glazing, LEDs, wiring, adhesive and tools are not supplied. Door leaves are fixed decorative geometry.

The 3MF files contain arranged geometry only: no validated printer or filament preset, generated supports or G-code. Select your own profile and slice. Print time and filament use depend on your choices. Resin printing has not been validated.

Verification — please read

N: the designer confirms the core Herrenhaus is fully printed. Exact printed STL revisions and machine settings were not recorded. Newer optional rainwater, chimney-hole and hidden-mark details have digital checks but no separate physical confirmation.

H0 and 0: digitally checked, physically untested variants. Mesh, assembly, framed-opening and removal-clearance checks passed. The N print does not verify these larger kits. Trial-fit coupons before committing to a complete larger-scale print.

The scales contain deliberate manufacturing and interior differences. Use the files and guide for your selected scale at 100% import size. The existing model preview and interior images are digital renders.

Licence and design

Personal hobby use under the included Sundby Model Works licence. Digital redistribution and commercial sale of prints require separate permission. The full supplied licence governs use.

AI-assisted design in ChatGPT Work with its integrated Codex environment, under human source selection, design direction and review by Björn Wallentinus, who physically printed the N model.

Part of the Wallendorf collection

The Herrenhaus is a separate kit from the half-timbered house and the factory buildings F1 and F2.

Before it reaches your workbench

A few useful things to know.

Is this a physical model?

No. This catalogue is for digital model files, not a printed kit. When a release is available, its listing will describe the files and documentation included in the download.

Which scale and printer should I use?

Check the model details and release notes for the available scales and tested print settings. Use a scale-specific version where supplied: small features and assembly clearances do not always work when a model is simply enlarged or reduced.

Does the picture show a finished print?

Model previews may be digital renders. Refer to the image description and release notes to distinguish a digital model from a physical print test. Development previews are not a promise that every part has been printed.

What should I keep after downloading?

Keep a backup of the original release package together with its version number, licence and assembly notes. Read the instructions before arranging the parts in your slicer.
